Reproductive Medicine Careers

RN, Beaumont, TX location

Looking for REGISTERED NURSE that has exceptional skills in patient care and daily patient interface. Nursing duties include:

  • Meet with patients to coordinate upcoming therapy, review requirements, calendars, and medications.
  • Schedule patients as needed to ensure completion of requirements.
  • Educate patients on IVF procedures, medication, and injections.
  • Communicate with provider any patient related issues, ultrasound findings and lab results.
  • Recover patients post procedures requiring IV sedation.
  • Review charts to ensure requirements are met prior to therapy.
  • Complete financial checklist to notify administrative team.
  • Maintain list of potential IVF patients.
  • Conduct IVF meetings to inform staff of upcoming patients.
  • Daily telephone calls to patients informing of lab results, coordinating appointments, and communicating therapy changes.
  • Documentation of office visits, telephone calls, and lab results.
  • Organize forms, methods, and protocols to ensure patient care is efficient, pertinent, and cost effective.
  • Develop and implement IVF policies and procedures.
  • Telephone triage.
  • Assist in the development of egg donor and surrogacy programs.
  • Assist in the development and presentation of IVF seminar.
  • Development and maintenance of IVF database.
  • Identification of potential study material in order to develop research protocols.
  • Other general office duties apply

Work requires working on weekends and late shifts. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of one year experience in reproductive medicine or OB/GYN. Bi-lingual candidate preferred.

The Center of Reproductive Medicine is looking for a Medical Assistant to work at our Beaumont, TX location.  Bilingual Spanish candidate is preferred.

 

 

Medical Assistant

BASIC FUNCTION
Performs a variety of routine tasks to support the delivery of safe, effective, cost-efficient patient care as delegated by the R.N.’s, Nurse Practitioner and physicians.  Works as a team member.  Performs selected diagnostic and therapeutic tasks and procedures.  Performs cleaning functions in patient care unit.  Responsible for medical records and filing of lab reports. 

Direct Patient Care

Provides direct patient care as delegated by RN staff.  Monitors and records vital signs, weights and LMP’s.  Performs urine dipsticks and urine pregnancy tests.  Collects specimens for UA and Urine cultures.  Reports abnormalities promptly to the Nurse Practitioner, Physician or RN.  Performs venipuncture and processing of specimens to be sent to outside lab or CORM lab.  Responsible for processing patients who come in for RN consults.  During OB consults: brings patient back for consult, obtains vitals and completes OB sheet questions and informs ultrasonographer that patient has arrived.  During FSH/Clomid consults: brings patient back for consult, places patient in consult office and gives patient appropriate consult information to read and alerts RN that patient is in consult room.  Obtains specimens for IUI patients and set up room for procedure, checks chart for consent and assists RN with procedure.  Knowledge of ultrasound machine to perform IUI.

Indirect Patient Care

Provides indirect patient care.  Performs and documents general therapeutic / diagnostic measures, performs exam room and common area cleaning needs as delegated. Helps restock rooms and informs appropriate personnel when supplies are needed. Helps RN’s retrieve messages from triage phone line and other phone lines as designated.  Acts as a runner, transporter for equipment, supplies and specimens.

Clerical Support
Utilizes clinic schedules according to policy.  Responsible for all aspects of medical records including pulling charts for phone calls, next day clinic chart and lab results.  Files all charts in chart room.  Files all correspondence, lab reports and clinic notes in chart in appropriate place in chart.

Communication & Guest Relations
Communicates with patients, physicians and center personnel and peers in an accurate , courteous and professional manner in accordance with CORM Policy and Procedure Manual.  Maintains confidentiality at all times with patients and staff.  Treats everyone with consideration and respect.

SPECIAL LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES REQUIRED
A. High School Diploma or GED

B. Certificate of Completion of Approved MA program

C. Previous health care experience preferred

D. Annual CPR training

E. OSHA training

WORKING CONDITIONS
Physical Effort: Must be able to bend, lift and push

Adverse Conditions: potential injuries resulting due to  physical efforts, chemical irritation

Hazards: Universal Precautions/Infection Control, Back Safety, Exposure to body fluids, Communicable diseases
